Ford's first Britsih Manufacturing operation began at Trafford Park, Manchester on 23rd October 1911.  In its first full year of operation the factory produced 3,000 Model "T" Fords, a figure which doubled to 6,000 in 1913.  The last car was built there in September 1931 - a few days before production began at Dagenham.
